Pascal Verlinden

Pascal Verlinden

Pascal Verlinden, aka Verlin, born in Antwerp, Belgium in 1960 .
Verlin grew up in a creative family, his grandfather was a cabinet maker and his father an antique dealer. In his youth he was surrounded by sketches on old and yellowed paper and the patina on old paintings fascinated him.
He travels the world in search of beautiful art and antiques and spends a lot of time in the museums in Paris, where he discovers Impressionism. He is deeply moved by the art of painting and the story behind the artist.
In his work, he creates his own world, of people and things as his eyes see them, a world in which he likes to reside, with a passion for space and movement.
His paintings are realistic and contain a symbolism, they are not photographic but must remain painted.
Verlin loves the authenticity of the old masters, and the old advertising images, from the 1950s, those images that affect you without realizing it.

Pascal exhibited, among others, in the Maagdenhuis Museum in Antwerp.
