Joke de Jager

Joke de Jager is a professional fine art photographer who specializes in unique, expressive landscapes.
Her fine art prints often combine dramatic photography, vibrant colours and artistic accents, but also minimalistic serenity and the tranquillity of sand and sea, to create new, captivating visions of the natural world.
Her goal is to create an image that evokes a sense of emotion in the viewer.
Joke de Jager grew up in the Netherlands and started her creative career as purchaser for interior design at the department store 'De Bijenkorf', after which she decided to shift her focus on Garden- and Landscape Architecture, specialising in “Erfgoed Groene Ruimtes”.
During her studies she discovered her passion for highlighting the riches of the shades of the colours 'greens’, ‘blues’ and ´whites’. She decided to complete her studies with a brief follow-up study at the renowned Amsterdam Photography Academy.
Her love for sea, sand and ‘greens’ is clearly recognizable in her photographic art, in which she continues to surprise with detailed images and a unique blending of natural colours.
Joke de Jager won several awards/honourable mentions and her work was featured several times in the (online) magazine: “Landschapsfotografie Magazine”.
